DareDevil The Man without Fear
It is said that the Eyes are the windows to the soul an the world what happens when those eyes have gone into complete darkness what happens when you can still see an live in the dark and your world is consumed by sounds an the sense of world in constant pain an suffering. In Matt Murdock's case instead of falling deeper into it he embraces it to serve a darker justice. He is The Devil of hell's Kitchen The man without Fear known as DareDevil. He made his debut in April 1964 created by Writer-Editor Stan Lee and Artist Bill Everett. His first issue had covered his origin an his intense desire for justice against the man who killed his father the boxer "Battlin Jack" Murdock. Jack had aimed to instill the importance of education and Non violence Murdock wanted to see Matt become a much better man then himself. One accident and then after would shape Matt's life forever Matt runs to save a blind man from the path of an oncoming truck. The radioactive material spilled and splashed into his eyes engulfing his world into total darkness young Matthew discovered nothing but pain he was cursed but also given a gift he had his four remaining senses but they function with Super Human Accuracy and was given another type of sight dubbed a "Radar Sense" which works like a type of echo location. Writer Frank Miller had expanded most of DareDevil's abilities. He attempted to make them an I quote "Extraordinary enough to be,exciting but not on par with Superman. When Miller Joined the title in 1979 the first move was to revamp his radar sense an make it less distinct and more believable. He wanted him to have a Proximity sense that Martial artists claim to have. Now even though DareDevil's senses are stronger then a humans they are also very sensitive his main weakness is a vulnerability to powerful sounds or odors can weakened his radar sense an cause great amounts of pain. With these acute senses Murdock has pulled off some great feats he has been shown to sense the minor atmospheric disturbance created when Nightcrawler is about to appear before he arrives at his destination. Another example is during the time the Xmen fought the Avengers when Psylocke took a shot at DareDevil she attempted to read his mind an became overwhelmed by the sensory input she had received from his enhanced senses, reflecting the scale of his psychological training. Even though he has no superhuman physical attributes beyond and enhanced sense of balance, DareDevil is a master martial artist he is a master hand to hand combatant. He is verse in unique blends of Ninjutsu,Aiki Jujutsu, Jujitsu, Kung FU, Capoeira, Judo, Akido, wrestling and stick fighting combined with boxing. He is a very skilled detective, Tracker, and interrogation expert as well as an expert marksman. Now even being named Empire's 37th greatest comic book character The devil of Hells kitchen hadn't always been highly praised. In 2003 20th Century Fox released DareDevil starring Ben Affleck and the Late Michael Clarke Duncan as Wilson Fisk AKA The King Pin all that can be said is the film didn't do well due to lack of character Development and some script writing issues and I will leave it at that it killed the character the comic kind of suffered as well. But The Character has redeemed his and has come back striking harder moving faster an putting fear back into the hearts of criminals an crushing his enemies spirits. On April 10th at 3:00AM Netflix had brought us their first Marvel series DareDevil the 1st in their Defenders Line up and all I can say about the show is it is the Man without fear we deserved 12 years ago but it is here and all 13 episodes are fast paced Matt Murdock "sees" the world on fire an he is angry hes got "the Devil" in him an it breaks free. The thing i enjoy most about the show is the fight scenes they are stylized but realistic Murdock can get hurt he gets broken ribs he bleeds an even gets tired but keeps moving he is not immortal he is not a man in an iron suit he is a force. Now this series Wilsons Fisk he is a Monster with a heart but its still dark he is the true epitome of a villian his dialogue is a weapon along with is fists an Law and Orders Vincent D'onofrio Delivers as Fisk Charlie Cox Matt Murdock/DareDevil you see the pain and the frustration and the need to rid his neighborhood an city of evil and it is believable I highly recommend it to all comic an non comic fans binge watch or watch it at your leisure but I can promise you will get hooked and will not let go an follow Matt on his journey.
