Aquaman : Unite The Seven

Arthur Curry better known as Aquaman was created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger  in November 1941.

During the period Known as the Silver age of comics he was The Founding Member for the Justice League of America  in the  1990's Modern Age  his character had gained a more serious tone then in most previous story lines depicting the weight of his role as King of Atlantis.

The 1960's animated appearance left a lasting impression basically  in popular culture Aquaman is a the but of every joke he was perceived  as weak a whack hero that talks to fish  which pushed DC make several attempts to make him a stronger more serious character in Modern Day comics.

Aquaman is now looked upon as a serious and brooding character  with   a ill reputation with his people from Atlantis  as well as Struggling to find a true role and purpose as both a hero and King.   Now there are many different origin stories for Arthur we will start with his first origin from the Golden Age of comics.

It  Starts as a flashback narrated by Arthur he says " The Story must Start with my father he was a famous undersea explorer my mother died when I was a baby and he turned into his work to unlock the ocean's secrets. He made his greatest discovery it was an ancient City in the depth where no other diver has reached. My  Father believed it to be the lost  city of Atlantis and he made a water tight home in one of the palaces there. After some studying and recording  reading from books and records there he learned the ways of teaching me to live under ocean, drawing oxygen from the  water and using all the  power of the sea too make me strong".

Now instead of going into the other ages and mini series Ill go it his " Rebirth" in The New 52 series and talk about his abilities and some feats lets have fun shall we?  in that series Arthur is the  half-human son of Tim curry and Atlanna.

Now his biggest event in the new 52 universe was Throne of Atlantis lets talk about that  one!  believing Atlantis to be under attack, New King Orm  Aquaman's brother declares war on the surface world.

A navy warship Pisses off the Atlantean's  after its missiles malfunction during a test  it hits  Atlantis big mistake to put it lightly King Orm aka ocean master goes off the wall.

Boston is under water San Diego is drowning so Aquaman actually sides with his Brother he even goes Against the League by himself (Think on that ).

They find the true mastermind behind the malfunction it was Aquaman's assistant really? but hey never underestimate the help just saying.

He was pissed because  arthur gave the throne up to be a hero for the surface and not his own people. so long story short Orm will not give the throne back  Aquaman in turn beats the breaks off his brothers ass reclaims his Trident and roars  I AM YOUR KING  all i  can say is it gave me a new found respect for him as character.

I used to think Aquaman was a tool but once i read an saw his powers an read Throne of Atlantis lets talk powers and abilities of the king  his most widely recognized power was telepathy to communicate with marine life. Since he has adapted to living in the  depths of the ocean.

He can obviously breathe underwater  he has superhuman durability high enough to remain unaffected by the immense pressure and the cold temperature of the depths of ocean. He is invulnerable to machine gun fire  has super strength he can swim at very high speeds up to 3,000 meters per  second.

He can  swim up Niagara falls he can see in near total darkness and had enhanced hearing that works as a limited sonar. He can die from severe dehydration but he has adjusted to living in both worlds.

But if this  does not convince that Aquaman is a bad ass he  knocked out superman he took on armies by himself (back up came later)  He took his own hand to save his own son then replaced it with a mechanical harpoon.  He Threw a polar bear at some hunters like a it was handball.

I have found a greater respect for  Aquaman  through his new 52  series he is a serious character that shouldn't be messed with.  Hopefully this may change some minds or give  him a shot

Doctor Strange

Doctor Stephen Strange  best known  under his alias Doctor Strange  created by Artist Steve Ditko he first appeared in Marvel's Strange tales  # 110 in July 1963.

He has one mission that he has dedicated himself too and that is to serve as the Sorcerer Supreme the primary protector  of earth against magical and mystical threats.

Now last night Jimmy Kimmel gave a look at the first teaser trailer for the live action film starring Benedict Cumberbatch  set to release  November 6th 2016  here it is if you missed it.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lt-U_t2pUHI    It is a origin story as you can tell but lets get into it.  Doctor Strange was a brilliant neurosurgeon but his  ego was  his biggest problem.  Money was his only concern not caring for his patients.  But things do happen for a reason a car accident  shatters the bones in his hands  causing nerve damage making them useless. He is  too arrogant to take on a teaching position Strange went in search of a cure from healers  legitimate or not.  After exhausting all his resource strange  is homeless and  performs shady "Back Alley" procedures for cash even with his trembling hands.   After hearing rumors about some one called the ancient  One  Strange Pawns the last of his  possessions  to get a ticket to the east to find the ancient ones Tibetan palace.

The old man refused to cure strange because he sensed  the selfish arrogant nature in Strange but also sensed a good side that he failed to bring out.   Shocked  Stephen witnesses a mystic attack on the ancient  One  Strange's good side does appear when he finds out  The Ancient one's Disciple Baron Mordo is trying to kill the old man.

Strange gets into a fight with Mordo it leads to him being restrained by magic  that stops him from fighting or warning the ancient one.  Strange has  a desperate and selfless change of heart he accepts the Ancients ones offer to become his apprentice to stop Mordo.

The old man knew of Mordo's intention and he and the Doctor become fierce enemies.  Strange is  then trained in  the mystic arts.

Once he completed his training Strange moves to a townhouse  in Greenwich village  called The Sanctum Sanctorum which is guarded by strange's personal servant Wong.

A little bit on Wong he was born in to a whole blood line of monks task to serve the Ancient one he  was asked to serve strange who became Sorcerer Supreme after the Ancient one dies in 1973.  Wong functions as a chef,  house keeper , Martial Arts instructor  and Mystical Guardian.   Wong is athletic he does not have any super human abilities  he is a master Martial Artist unstoppable in hand to hand combat.

Now he does not have any magical abilities of his own  but he is well aware of the  Dark arts since serving strange.  Wong has been able to hold his own against mystical forces and has aided strange in casting spells trust Wong is someone you do not want to threaten.

Back to the good Doctor who draws his Powers from Mystical entities  such as Agamotto, Cyttorak, Ikonn, Oshtur, Raggadorr and Watoomb they all lend their energies for spells.  Strange also wields mystical artifacts such as The Cloak of levitation which allows him to fly, The Eye of Agamotto whose light is used against all evil magic , The Book of the Vishanti which contains knowledge of White magic and then there is the Orb of Agamotto which works as a crystal ball.

In addition to his magical abilities Doctor strange is trained in Several Martial arts disciplines and has shown skilled with magically conjured weapons such as swords and Axes.

Strange has traveled and fought in many dimensions he has fought the likes of doctor doom all the way to Galactus the devourer of Planets and has lived he is unmatched in the mystical part of the Marvel universe. Remember This is one of the men who helped sent hulk off planet then held up against him when he returned. He also saved silver surfer's life after and attack from the Mad titan Thanos with the infinity Gauntlet.

This is a man you want on your side and I have always enjoy that character he is my one of favorite heroes he fights until the end and has fought even in Death  I can say I am excited to That Marvel is bringing Magic into its Cinematic Universe an so Far the Doctor is in for business.

The Merc with the Mouth MOTION PICTURE AKA DeadPool The Movie (No Spoilers)

Hello fellow believers. I know it has been a minute since my last post but things happen for good reason and just know i have returned with my interesting point of views and ramblings. For today's post i've decided to touch on everyone's favorite Merc with the Mouth: Deadpool. It's been about a month or so since his movie debut in February (which in my eyes was AMAZING) but it didn't start off that way. That character took a huge hit in the beginning before becoming the great box office smash that you've seen today. First, lets talk about how he started. How it horribly began, with Deadpool's first appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

X-Men Origins was released in 2009 with what should've been the greatest ensemble of mutants we have ever seen since X-Men 3. But just like X Men 3, it failed to capture the essence of his origins and was just an OVERALL train wreck. Me knit picking that movie will deviate from what this post is about which is DeadPool. DeadPool made his first cinematic debut in X Men Origins with the perfect actor playing him Ryan Reynolds. At first, i was giddy with excitement because Ryan had the charisma, the puns, and overall personality that was Deadpool. I thought FINALLY Fox had something right here, i was going to see greatness. Fox was probably reading my thoughts and just like that they sewn DeadPools mouth shut. That was probably one of the biggest mistake they did in that movie, outside of everything else. The one thing that made DeadPool......well DEADPOOL was his never ending barrage of jokes. That's like the equivalent of taking away Thor's hammer. For god sakes it's in his name "the Merc with the MOUTH". To put insult to injury they then made him this chimera mutant where they injected him with other mutant abilities. It was such a train wreck i literally left the movie theaters when they did this BS. I have been an avid comic book fan of DeadPool and i literally was devastated on what Fox did to this franchise. After a couple of years after that debacle, i thought it was the end of what would pretty much could have been an awesome opportunity for a Deadpool Franchise. My dream of an amazing DeadPool on the big screen pretty much died but then it happened, a test footage was leaked and all hell broke loose.
(If you haven't seen the original test footage here you go.)

This wonderful Vid was leaked at San Diego Comic con and the reception was well deserved on top of the video going viral. In a matter of hours the internet was buzzing for questions. Was this an actual movie that's going to happen? who is going to play DeadPool? Was it a continuation of the Wolverine origins? Is Fox going to screw this one up too? Then our prayers had been answered in the name of Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds and Fox studio confirmed that they will be making a stand alone DeadPool Movie and it had NOTHING to do with origins (one lone thug tear was shed).Of course i have to give credit to the numerous amount of Fans who petitioned and made soooooo much noise for this to be realized. I was happy and willing to go see this movie after many video promotions released. After taking my Girlfriend to see it for Valentines day (yes i did that and i stand by my decision) i thought it was amazing. Of course like any movie adaptation, it wasn't going to follow his origins to the letter. Which i'm ok with as long as it is done very well and sort of keeps the essence of the original story. Almost everything about DeadPool in the comics was portrayed in the movie quite well except for one or two things. Nothing too major but, hopefully they could correct it in a sequel movie. In my opinion, Ryan Reynolds was born to play DeadPool. He had all the mannerism that you would see in the comics from the barrage of jokes and crude humor to the 4th wall breaking (i was soooooooooo happy that they had 4th wall breaking in this movie).  This Movie redeemed DeadPool and many other opportunities and scenarios that could happen in the Marvel Cinematic universe. Hopefully, we may see DeadPool cross over in other movies and maybe, just maybe, a cameo in the infinity wars later down the road. For now time will tell and we can only wish for the best. so, if you haven't seen the movie i'm going to need you to go and see it. Like now.........like right now..........why are you still reading this.......GO

Batman V Superman Dawn of justice Review #1 (spoiler free)

OK so before I start this I have had time to think a lot about what I saw and putting together in my head. Remember this is my opinion people can agree or disagree with me that's fine. I honestly believe that people are still so deeply stuck in the Marvel movie kool aid that they expect every opposing movie to match it but no out do it or that fan have become way too critical in their analyst of film and certain things in them. Batman V Superman dawn of justice is not Perfect it has flaws all films do but I realize that if your not one of the comic faithful like myself it wont appeal most people look for a few things and honestly if you want to critique or bash anyone its Warner bros not Snyder. He had an idea the studio told him to start cutting there is a rule in Hollywood when it comes to scripts a page is equal to 1 minute of run time of film you cant exceed 120 pages which equals 2 hours but is also why the Ultimate cut for the movie will not only be Rated R it will be and hour longer. I personally loved that film plot holes multiple themes and all. I saw the direction he was aiming for while appealing to many of the comic fans requests and complaint multiple themes story lines to me means multiple possibilities and opportunities. I went in to the theater as a hardcore comic guru I am but I did not judge as other have I was happy that one of my dreams since I was 5 years old I finally got to see on the big screen The Holy trinity 77 years between all three never have they all been on screen but people hate the story or the pacing of film I loved all the cameos and the 20+ references that I saw. In terms of the actors I have no complaints I said it for months and years Ben Affleck would crush his role He is our Batman I never went in comparing him to christian Bale or comparing this with The Dark Knight trilogy Gal Gadot was Wonder woman she has it down to the damn lasso. Now on to one of the most hated actors then next the second most hated aspect of the film if you saw the trailer you know doomsday pops up. Jesse Eisenberg as Alexander "Lex" Luthor Jr. Many people did not enjoy his performance because some do not personally like him as actor to begin with. This is Lex First starting out he has not grown into the man people wanted or expect but I thought he was perfect you got to see the madness, insecurity and inferiority complex he has especially when superman was around. He was spot on and later ill get into why in the spoiler post. Henry Cavil again nice job no real complaints hes more comfortable as superman now the fight between the two well done. A lot of people talk about how horrible doomsday looked he is not a fairy princess guys he is a ugly son of a bitch that gets stronger an changes each time he is hit. The only thing that kind of bothered me was he has no pants on I'm just saying but looking at how he appeared its fine. I say this see the movie for yourself nothing is perfect step off the haterade and forget the critics Lets remember why we go to movies an as comic fans why we love superhero films to be entertain to escape reality for a second stop nit picking. Overall It was an awesome film I will be pre ordering my copy of the ultimate cut out on July 16th and I'm sticking to how I feel about the film thought it was damn good and may see it a Third time. But to eachs own if you did not enjoy it

Mr. Freeze : A Cold Cold Heart

DR. Victor Fries Created by Bob Kane, David Wood and Sheldon Moldoff he first appeared in Batman #121 in February 1959 he was originally known as Mr.Zero so glad that was changed. Writer Paul Dini revamped and introduced the one and only true origin of Mr. Freeze victor Fries was a former Cyrogenics expert who suffers a great deal first his Wife Nora grows terminally ill. Fries furiously searches for a cure for her disease he decides too put her in Cryo-stasis to keep her alive until he finds one. Things do go horribly wrong his former Boss Ferris Boyle sabotages an interrupts the experiment which results in an explosion fries survives but is no longer the man he once was. Fries body goes through changes he can only survive in subzero temperatures if he over heats he can suffer from a heat stroke. He now wears a refrigerated exo skeletal suit that amplifies his strength. Most of Batman's villains are insane criminals Freeze is not a criminal nor is he insane. Freeze is not a saint either the world could freeze in nuclear winter killing billions all that matters to the good doctor is Nora. see I think the reason that people like Mr.freeze is because you actually feel bad for him and sympathize with him even though you know there is logic to what he is doing. Its dead wrong you root for him and even Batman shed a few tears for him. Victor himself has stated that emotions have been frozen dead inside of him all but the love for his wife. When he is in that suit the man does become cold he can be a real monster I cant really say if freeze is immortal but he does tend to survive many situations and has come back in many series it even got to the point he was just a head that attached to his suit. The last time we really saw our Animated Mr. Freeze was the in the Film SubZero which was a very underrated but also a dark film that shows how far he is willing to go for his family. Now im not going to harp on the mister freeze in the batman and robin fiasco he was puntastic that is all I will say. In closing I really think we need to see more of Freeze in the current series he has been in some new 52 stories not really a series of his own which I think he deserves more then any other villain.

100 Bullets Review

Second chances do not come often but when they do most people may jump at the same goes for revenge. What you experienced a great injustice your life was ripped from you. A man who calls himself agent Graves and no he is not a cop but a bad ass dude indeed . He goes to a person who has been wrong in one way or the other he comes to them with a attache case full of documentation that can clear up their horrible situation. There also happens be a gun in the case with one hundred rounds of ammunition that is untraceable. Now the good part you use this information and the weapon no law enforcement agency can stop you Sounds good right?. There will always be problems point blank. what can say about this story beside the fact that if the movie with Tom Hardy is still I will see it in a heart beat. This Story is Raw the art is gritty an dirty the dialogue is real urban and close to home. This is not a crime story for kids there are a lot of hidden topics stereotypes racism it deals with corruption the Drug trade gangs gambling even pedophilia as well as the violence. This is only book one and it has issues 1-19 and I am hooked! I want to know more about Agent Graves and who he works an why he does this? is it his form of revenge was he given a second chance? But All I know is so Far so good I'm looking forward to the Next 4 books to see where this is going. If you love crime stories pick this up as soon as you can. I Give one hundred Bullets Book One a Solid 10/10.

Legends of Tommorrow : You Have Failed This City!

Now for those who have been watching DC's legends of tomorrow its been a interesting ride so far so. Many viewers say the show is a hit and miss that they can't get into it.

I will just say watch it and you be your own judge I personally love it so far an this Thursday is a dream come true of sorts.

We last left the team in 1986 in the  USSR things got pretty bad to say the least torture is involved.  There was a  female soviet Fire Storm Yes Vandal Savage tried to go there. Now Spoiler Alert if you haven't caught up with the show watch the latest episode on The CW App or Website first.

The Team is attacked   by  chornos this attack send's our misguided team of time traveling misfit's to the Time 2046  Sara recognizes her home star city has turned to hell. The team then bumps into a Green Hooded Archer but he is not Oliver Queen he is Connor Hawke the second man to take the Green Arrow mantle.

But he is not Oliver's Son so why the picture of Oliver Queen with the goatee? why does it matter. This my friend is the Old man Oliver Queen from The Dark Knight Return's universe it does also look like he is Sporting a Prosthetic Arm as Well.

For who haven't read the Dark Knight returns a older Oliver Takes out Superman with a Krpytonite Arrow with one Arm and his Teeth Giving Batman an edge for his an superman's fight.

Now apparently people think Oliver is Dead in 2046 the team finds out otherwise.  There is also another special guest running around in Star City Slade Wilson better known as Death Stroke is Back now. We know Oliver an Slade have a history and Bad Blood so this confrontation will be epic to say the least.

My question  can The team help out Old Man Oliver as well as the new Green Arrow and  save this Star City of 2046  or is it fate?

All I know is this is the closest way to reference both Batman and Superman in This Universe which is awesome because Rip Hunter did say " I've seen Men of Steel Die and Dark Knight's Fall".

Will we get to see that as well? who knows all I know is it is a great time to be into superhero TV Shows as well lets see where this goes.

Luke Cage : Hero For Hire

Born and raised in harlem Lucas spent his youth in a gang called the Rivals. With his friend Willis Stryker he fights the rival gang the Diablos and commits petty crimes, often on the behalf of deformed mobster Sonny "Hammer" Caputo. He seeks to better himself as an adult by finding legitimate employment. Meanwhile, Stryker rises through the ranks of crime, but the two men remain friends. When Stryker's activities anger the Maggia syndicate he is badly beaten in a mob hit, saved only by Lucas's intervention. When Stryker's girlfriend, Reva Connors, breaks up with him in fear of his violent work, she seeks solace with Lucas. Stryker is convinced that Lucas is responsible for the breakup, so he plants heroin in Lucas's apartment and tips off the police. Lucas is arrested and sent to prison where contact with his family is sparse due to the resentment of his brother James Jr., who intercepts Lucas's letters to their father James and eventually leads each to believe the other is dead. Lucas is consumed by rage over Stryker's betrayal and his father's supposed death, engaging in frequent brawls and escape attempts. Eventually transferred to Seagate Prison off the coast of Georgia, he becomes the favorite target of sadistic guard Albert "Billy Bob" Rackham, whose brutality ultimately leads to a demotion that he blames on Lucas. Later, research scientist Dr. Noah Burstein recruits Lucas as a volunteer for experimental cell regeneration based on a variant of the Super-Soldier process he had previously used to empower Warhawk. Burstein immerses Lucas in an electrical field conducted by an organic chemical compound; when he leaves Lucas unattended, Rackham alters the experiment's controls, hoping to maim or kill Lucas. Lucas' treatment is accelerated past its intended limits, inducing body-wide enhancements that give him superhuman strength and durability. He uses his new power to escape Seagate and makes his way back to New York, where a chance encounter with criminals inspires him to use his new powers for profit. Luke Cage possesses superhuman strength and stamina, and has extremely dense skin and muscle tissue, which render him highly resistant to physical injury. Cage possesses these abilities as a result of a cellular regeneration experiment which fortified the various tissues of his body. His skin can resist high-caliber bullets, puncture wounds, corrosives, biological attacks, and extreme temperatures and pressures without sustaining damage in other words he is indestructible. A second exposure to experiments further enhanced his strength and durability. The same experiment which granted him his great strength and durability has also given him a faster-than-normal recovery time from injury. Luke Cage is an exceptional street fighter and was a gifted athlete before receiving superhuman abilities. He has also studied martial arts under Iron Fist's instruction learning how to couple leverage with his strength in order to increase his combat effectiveness against more powerful opponents and he is Pretty damn good at it. I am looking forward to seeing more of Mike Colter's portrayal of Luke Cage on the Second season Of Netflix's Jessica Jones. But I am more excited for Luke Cage's own Netflix series coming in November this year. Cage is one of those unrated characters that a lot of people in Marvel enjoy stepping up but Cage is no where near Afraid. That is not because he knows he has power its because he has the confidence to go head to head with anyone.

Storm : Mistress of The elements

Ororo Monroe  First Appeared in Giant Sized Xmen # 1  in May of 1975  she was created by writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum.  She is a member of the X-Men, a group of mutant heroes who fight for peace and equality between mutants and humans If you did not  know what their mission is already . Possessed of natural leadership skills and some of the most formidable powers in her team, Storm has led the X-Men from time to time, and has also been a member of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. As an adult, Storm married her fellow superhero Black Panther, and was by marriage made queen consort of the African nation of Wakanda, but lost this title when they divorced. n Uncanny X-Men #102 (December 1976), Claremont established Storm's back story. Storm's mother, N'Dare, was the princess of a tribe in Kenya and descended from a long line of African witch-priestesses with white hair, blue eyes, and a  natural gift for sorcery. N'Dare falls in love with and marries American photojournalist David Munroe.

They move to Harlem , where Ororo is born. They later moved to Egypt and lived there until they die during the Suez Crisis in a botched aircraft attack, leaving six-year-old Ororo as an orphan. Her violent claustrophobia is established as a result of being buried under tons of rubble after that attack. She becomes a skilled thief in Cairo under the benign Achmed el-Gibar and wanders into the Serengeti as a young woman. She is worshiped as a goddess when her powers appear before being recruited by Professor X for the X-Men.
Claremont further fleshed out Storm’s back story in Uncanny X-Men #117 (January 1979). He retroactively added that Professor X, who recruits her in Giant Size X-Men #1 of 1975, had already met her as a child in Cairo. As Ororo grows up on the streets and becomes a proficient thief under the tutelage of master thief Achmed el-Gibar, one of her most notable victims was Charles Francis Xavier, later Professor X.

He is able to use his mental powers to temporarily prevent her escape and recognizes the potential in her. However, when Xavier is attacked mentally by Amahl Farouk, the Shadow King, the two men are preoccupied enough with their battle to allow the girl to escape.
Both Xavier and the Shadow King recognize Storm as the young girl later on.   In the following issues, Claremont portrayed Storm as a serene, independent character. Although Storm was initially written having trouble adjusting to Western culture, e.g. calling the obligation to wear clothing in public bath "absurd",she earns a lot of respect: in Uncanny X-Men #139 (November 1980), Claremont established her as the leader of the X-Men after Cyclops took a leave of absence, a position she holds in various incarnations. Claremont also made Storm especially harbor motherly feelings for the youngest X-Man, 13-year-old Kitty Pryde. In Marvel Team-Up #100 (December 1980), Claremont wrote a short story in which he retroactively established that Storm, then 12 years old, saves a young Black Panther from racist thugs when they both are in Kenya. This story would later become a base for later writers to establish a deeper relationship between both characters.
In the early 1980s, adventures of Storm written by Claremont included a space opera arc, in which the X-Men fight parasitic beings called the Brood. Storm is infected with a Brood egg and contemplates suicide, but then experiences a last-minute save by the benign whale-like Acanti aliens.[ In the following arc, Claremont further established Storm's character strength. He wrote a story in which Storm's fellow X-Man Angel is abducted by a rogue mutant group called the Morlocks. The X-Men are outnumbered, and Storm is rendered sick by the Morlock called Plague. To save Kitty's life, Storm challenges the Morlocks' leader Callisto, in a duel to the death for leadership of the Morlocks. Despite being violently sick, she defeats Callisto by stabbing her with a knife. Callisto is saved through the efforts of a Morlock healer, and Storm offers the Morlocks refuge at the Xavier Mansion, but they decline.  This is all cool and all but why is Storm so important?  Storm was one of the first black comic book characters, and the first black female, to play either a major or supporting role in the big two comic book houses, Marvel Comics and DC Comics. Within these two companies, her 1975 debut was only preceded by a few male black characters. In Marvel Comics, preceding characters were Gabe Jones(debuted in 1963), Black Panther (1966), Bill Foster (1966), Spider-Man supporting characters Joe Robertson (1967), his son Randy (1968), Hobie Brown (the Prowler) & The Falcon (1969), Luke Cage (1972), Blade (1973) and Abe Brown (1974). In DC Comics, she was preceded by Teen Titans member Mal Duncan who debuted in 1970, Green Lantern wielder John Stewart (1971), and Mister Miracle protege Shilo Norman (1973); she preceded DC's other black heroes, Legion of Super-Heroes member Tyroc (who debuted in 1976), Black Lightning (1977), Bumblebee (1977), Cyborg (1980), Vixen (1981) and Amazing Man (1983). While not the first black character to be introduced, since her creation Storm has remained the most successful and recognizable black superhero.[citation needed]
Gladys L. Knight, author of Female Action Heroes: A Guide to Women in Comics, Video games, Film, and Television (2010) wrote that "two defining aspects of her persona are her racial identity and her social status as a mutant.

" The X-Men have symbolically represented marginalized minorities and the debut of the X-Men series coincided with the African-American Civil Rights Movement (1955–1968), in which their plight as mutants mirrored that of African Americans. Storm's creation in particular "was during the heyday of blaxploitation films, which featured, among others, Pam Grier, an African American actress who is considered a pioneer in female action hero films."

I've Always enjoy storm as  a character especially in the X-men series she was slightly over the top an announced what she wanted to happen.   If you have not pick up an story with Storm I suggest that you do as soon as you can.

She had such a commanding force to her an when you got her mad you better run because she would tear anyone apart. She is a True force of beautiful nature

The Flash Review

Its been a while coming but we all knew it had to happening sooner or later Team flash has entered the breach an have landed on Earth 2.

On the way we saw many things to come especially the coming up SuperGirl and The Flash Crossover event coming March 28th.

I really did enjoy this episode like I always do its funny how Dr.Wells is like the pissed off parent  in charge of babysitting the  kids in a  huge worldwide candy store.

But of course its not all speedster's an rainbows some pretty cool meta Humans like Killer Frost an Death Storm who of course look like Caitlyn and Ronnie.  As you know zoom is a real threat an now our flash is  on his turf  whats the worst that could Happen? well it already did Barry of earth 1 has been captured.

Its up to killer frost (persuaded of course) Cisco well's and earth 2 Barry an iris west  to save The flash an Well's daughter Jessy I'm rooting for them but Zoom seems unstoppable an just pure evil its going to take a miracle.

I hope they find a way but the Flash as a whole series so far in its two season is doing extremely well I can't wait to see how things unfold  lets hold on to hope an lets have Barry run  he is  still   the fastest man alive and  he can defeat zoom an save both worlds but it wont be easy at all .  Worlds will collide

Batman V. Superman final Trailer review

Well it has arrived Guys the final trailer for Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice before I get into it with my reaction check it out. if you haven't already  please stop Everything and check this out so I can say what I've wanted to say since this was introduced. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX_iASz1Si8 Now I said a long time that when Ben Affleck was chosen that he would crush the Role after that first scene if you can't see that He is Batman I don't know what to say. This is the Batman I read about an watched when  I was a kid his style is so brutal  an smooth he could not be Touched period. Out of all the previous Batmen Affleck is truly the one I have waited to see.  This Trailer should have been second the last trailer literally has nothing on this.  Just briefly seeing Gal Gadot's  Wonder Woman make that bad ass leaping charge she is ready for war.

But when Batman an Superman go at it you can tell it will be an intense fight.  You see  That the man of steel has the upper hand but that one moment when batman blocks his punch the perplexed look says it all  but Batman face lets you know pain is coming in a lot of ways.  I even enjoy hearing more of Jeremy Irons Alfred especially  when Ben says " I'm getting slow  in my old age Alfred".

Alfred replies " Even you got to old to die young not for lack of trying".  That's what I want to see the  dry sarcastic humorous yet wise Alfred.  All I can says is  there are about 40 days left until we get to see the two titan's go at as well as seeing DC's Trinity on screen after 75 years it is finally happening.

I have waited an wanted this movie to happen since age 5 and I am finally getting my wish. Some will not be as hyped because of the excessive movie clips TV spots an trailers but I am ready.

I will be seeing it twice the second time in IMAX  but I will save my movie review for a week or two after  its release.

I hope you all take the time to check it out an would love to see feedback on this post about what you thought of the trailer.

Icon

Icon is a character from milestone comics Created by the late Dwayne Mcduffie and M.D. Bright he first appeared in Icon # 1 in may 1993. But lets go to 1839 There was an alien Starliner malfunctioned and exploded, jettisoning a life-pod in the middle of a cotton field in the American South. The pod automatically altered the appearance of its passenger, named Arnus, to mimic the first sentient life-form who discovered him. That life-form was an enslaved black woman named Miriam, who saw the pod crash land and adopted Arnus as her son. In the present, Arnus is still alive. He did not age visibly beyond adulthood; to disguise this fact, he periodically assumes the identity of his own son.By the late 20th century, he is posing as Augustus Freeman IV, the great-grandson of his original human identity. Still marooned, Arnus /Freeman waits for Earth's technology to catch up to his life pod's. Secretly possessing superpowers that belie his human appearance, he has always performed quiet acts of charity. However, when Freeman's house is broken into, he uses his powers for the first time in decades, an action witnessed by one of the intruders, Raquel Ervin,an idealistic teenage girl who was born in Paris Island, the poorest, most gang-ridden neighborhood in Dakota City. Her prospects seemed fairly bleak until this encounter with Freeman. After seeing Freeman use his powers, Raquel persuades him to become a superhero named Icon, with herself as his sidekick, Rocket. Now here are some of Icon's supporting characters Raquel Ervin/Rocket – Saw Augustus Freeman IV use his powers when his home was being robbed, and convinced him to become a super hero, as well as take her on as sidekick. All of Rocket's superhuman powers derive from her inertia belt, based on tech from Icon's ship. Darnice/Rocket II – Raquel's best friend. Darnice took on the role of Rocket while Racquel was on maternity leave (one insisted upon by both Icon and her close friends). Amistad Augustus Ervin – Raquel's infant son, named for the Spanish slave ship and for her partner, Icon. Rufus T. Wild/"Buck Wild, Mercenary Man" – First appeared in Icon #13 "It's Always Christmas" (May 1994); Buck Wild possessed "belief defyin' strength" and "tungsten hard skin", but spoke as if he came from a blaxploitation film. He was a hero to the local folks, but he also took money for his work. It was revealed in his first appearance that when he received his powers in 1972, his brain had been frozen, which explains his outdated speaking patterns. Wild was clearly a parody of Marvel's Luke Cage, complete with afro, gold headband and yellow shirt unbuttoned to the navel. In his next appearance, he is recruited to take Icon's place—costume included—when Icon returned to his home planet. Rocket (Darnice) used her Inertia Belt to carry him, making him appear to fly. Buck's time as Icon II was short-lived, as he gave his life in order to stop Oblivion, a mass murdering alien foe of Icon. In an issue devoted to his funeral, it is revealed in a series of eulogies from his enemies (although it is unclear how trustworthy these eulogies are) that he had taken several other costumed identities, all of them parodies of other famous black superheroes. According to these eulogies, Buck once used an experimental growth serum which turned him into the gigantic "Buck Goliath" (a pastiche of Black Goliath). While working with a Captain America-type known as Patriot, he called himself "Jim Crow" and wore a winged costume allowing him to fly (as with Falcon). As "Buck Lightning" (Black Lightning), Buck wore a wrist apparatus that generated lightning bolts. At the funeral, Kingfish (a take on Kingpin) used the legendary Ruby Begonia gemstone to bring him back to life, now able to generate green smoke, the sound of drums tolling doom, and a ghost-like double which could possess others and make them do his bidding (Brother Voodoo). Darnice, however, tells him that his time on earth is over, at which Buck removes the Begonia stone and allows himself to die. Icon recounts that Buck serves as an example to all of us of how we can be heroes wherever we are. In terms of powers an abilities Icon's lifepod altered his DNA so he would resemble a normal human being, thus enabling him to blend among Earth's natives. A side effect of this process was the maximization of his now human/alien genetic structure. Thus, Icon possesses a variety of superhuman abilities that are unusual even for a Terminan. Superhuman Strength: Icon possesses vast superhuman strength that is nearly on par with Superman's. Superhuman Speed and Reflexes: Icon possesses the ability to think, move, and react at superhuman speeds.[1] Superhuman Stamina: Icon possesses highly efficient musculature which produces almost no fatigue toxins, granting him almost limitless stamina in all physical activities. Flight: Icon flies by manipulation of gravitons, manipulation of magnetic fields, control of his absolute molecular movement, and utilizing his superhuman speed. Icon can fly far beyond supersonic speeds, but it is unknown if he can achieve nearly the speed of light. Superhuman Senses: Icon possesses superhuman senses of sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. Enhanced Mental Perception: Icon possesses the ability to sense & comprehend things on levels that far exceed human capabilities. Invulnerability: Icon seems to possess high-invulnerability & durability, being capable of withstanding tremendous impact forces, high caliber bullets, exposure to temperature and pressure extremes, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining injury. He is even capable of surviving in the vacuum of space unaided. Icon's invulnerability has not been portrayed consistently. If he is not expecting an attack, he can be injured more easily. For example, in Icon #2, he sustains a bloody nose from getting hit in the face with the butt of a rifle that surprised him. After being injured by Payback,Icon began wearing alien body armor to grant him further protection. Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his nigh invulnerability to injury, it is possible to injure Icon. If injured, his body is capable of quickly repairing damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than the normal human body. Energy Generation: Icon has the ability to generate and control a radiant energy based on positrons. He can manipulate this energy for various effects. Concussive Force Bolts: Icon can release positron energy from his hands as bolts of concussive force. Stun Bolts: Icon can project low-energy bolts that render human beings unconscious by disrupting the electrical impulses in their nervous systems.Icon can also use these bolts like an electromagnetic pulse to overload electronic devices. Energy Enhanced Punches: Icon can focus positron energy into his fists, which he can then use to shatter virtually any substance.[ Energy Pulse: Icon can release all of his body's positron energy as a massive omnidirectional pulse of devastating power. Positron Field: Icon can detect the presence of Bang Babies within his vicinity by flooding an area with a field of positrons. The field interacts with the invisible quantum well surrounding a Bang Baby, who then glows as he or she gives off mild gamma particles. Hence, Icon can use these fields to distinguish Bang Babies from other metahumans as well as normal humans According to Icon, he possesses powers that all humans will possess once they evolve past their limitations. Icon possesses extraordinary longevity, enabling him to age at a vastly slower rate than that human beings. Hence, though centuries old, he appears to be no older than forty. Icon's lifespan is typical for a Terminan and the only power that is not the result of his genetic maximization. Now many forget this is the man who punches Superman out of the watchtower back to earth Batman asks if he is alright and Clark replies "that really Hurt" chew on that big blue fans I'm kidding Icon is a Fascinating hero an the one reason we haven't seen Icon in the New 52 universe beside a couple of cameo mentions in Static Shock. We lost the Great comic writers of our time Dwayne Mcduffie who was a talent of his own and made us love heroes and even appreciate the villains also he is missed. I say if you get the chance check out some collected editions starring Icon you might like what you see maybe we can start a petition to have Icon brought into the New 52 who knows.

Cyborg : Man vs Machine

Lets Talk about Victor "Vic" Stone the Man who is now know as the Hero Cyborg who first appeared in DC Comics Presents #26 in October 1980 he was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez . Victor was the son of noted scientists Silas an Elinore Stone They used their son as a test subject for various experiments in intelligence enhancement. The treatments worked an improved victor's IQ to genius levels he resents theses treatment he then starts a friendship with a man named Ron Evers a young trouble maker with serious prospects he got vic into trouble with the law. This also started stone's defiance he started activities that his parents disapproved of such as sports an him ignoring his school work. Things take a turn when he visit's his parents at S.T.A.R Labs and experiment on inter dimensional went wrong an took victors mother an severely mutilates Vic. To Save his son's Silas outfit's his son with experimental prosthetics of his own design. The equipment can not be worn inconspicuously, and Victor is horrified upon discovering that most of his body and part of his face have been replaced with metallic implants. Victor initially wants to die, but he eventually adjusts to the changes and learns to control his implants. I would have been freaked out too imagine you wake up half man an half machine. Now victor had some problems trying to reinsert himself into society not he dealt with alot of rejection an even suspension from football not only due to having an advantage with his cybernetic's but also his failing grades. Victor did find a purpose after bumping into Mr.evers who tried to manipulate Stone an use him in a terrorist against the United Nation the two fought on the roof Vic got the win. But lets talk about the toys. As stated Large portions of Victor Stone's body have been replaced by advanced mechanical parts (hence the name Cyborg), granting him superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and flight. His mechanically-enhanced body, much of which is metallic, is far more durable than a normal human body. Cyborg's internal computer system can interface with external computers. Other features include an electronic 'eye' which replicates vision, but at a superhuman level. His mechanical parts contain a wide variety of tools and weapons, such as a grappling hook/line and a finger-mounted laser. Perhaps his most frequently-used weapon is his sound amplifier (often referred to as his "white sound blaster" in the comic books; the Teen Titans animated series calls it a "sonic cannon"), which can be employed at various settings either to stun the ears of his foes or to deliver concentrated blasts of sound potent enough to shatter rock or deform steel which is damn impressive. Cyborg has tinkered over time with his cybernetic parts, enhancing his functions and abilities to levels beyond those set by his father. One feature that sets him apart from the "mass production" version built by Project M is a self-repair system, able to flawlessly repair the mechanical parts of his body, no matter how worn out they are, and even improve the health of the still biological parts to an unknown degree. Now in the New 52 universe Victor has some pretty cool enhancements. Cybernetics: Cyborg possesses cybernetic enhancements that provide superhuman strength, endurance and durability. Cyborg can also interface with computers. Built into his body-armor are an infrared eye with HUD, a bionic ear that allows you to hear sounds from long distance, computer generator, sound amplifier (similar to a sonic cannon), and special programming adapters that allow him to interface with other body extensions. Body Resistance: The nature of Cyborg's body provides him with natural body armor offering resistance versus physical damage and energy attacks. Superhuman Strength: At optimal capacity, Vic can lift/press in excess of several tons. Cyborg's upper strength limits have fluctuated with upgrades to his systems over time. Superhuman Speed: He possessed a degree of superspeed and could leap great distances. Superhuman Endurance Superhuman Durability: His bones are reinforced with molybdenum-steel. Sensor Systems Computer Interfacing Flight: Powered by rocket boosters. Jump Jets: In place for leaping great distances, to cut down on relying on Boom Tubes due to the problems they caused in the past. Technomorphing: Can physically assimilate other pieces of technology into himself as well as freely alternate his cybernetic body at will. Technopathy Shapeshifting Heart Attack: Cyborg also adds the ability to emit an EMP blast to disable electronics fifty meters away from him. The Grid: A program Vic and Batman created to help him better manage the constant flow of uploading and downloading data he receives on a constant basis. It acts as his solipisistic engram into the Cyberverse/Digitalverse where he can better prioritize and interface with the worldwide networking system, focusing on high-priority items and filter out other received data. Boom Tube Manipulation: Due to absorbing and interfacing with a Mother box, Cyborg can open a Boom Tube extra-dimensional point-to-point travel portal to teleport him and his companions, once having opened up multiple boom tubes in order to banish darkseid and his invading hordes back to apokolips. However, when transporting groups his transporter can get overloaded, roughly one out of every 1,000 times, and ends up transporting all those teleported to Apokolips. As part of the events of the Throne of Atlantis Aquaman crossover, Cyborg's lungs were replaced by cybernetic lungs that allow him to breathe underwater. Technomorphic Evolution: after having a catastrophic run in with the techbreakers from a parallel earth and dying of his injuries. The alien technology composing his frame some how kicked in and resurrected him vastly upgrading his technology and integrating his ruined organic parts with the machinery composing his cybernetics. An adversary of the League once stated his technology was steadily evolving causing a host of new functions to activate. he also has Regeneration Resurrection Mechanical function Enhancement After he lost his original cybernetic enhancements which became Grid at the end of the Trinity War arc, during the Forever Evil event, he has his father Silas Stone and Dr. Morrow help create a new cybernetic body. As explained in that issue, by cutting down on strength, speed, and stamina, Cyborg's new cybernetic body looks slimmer in appearance as Victor describes looking more human compared to looking like a tank. It is unknown whether or not Cyborg had re-integrated the technology stripped from him after Grid's defeat. After a very Nasty run in with alt. universe invaders calling themselves the techbreakers Cyborg's systems had undergone a complete systems overhaul causing a new operating system to come online restoring him too life and healing his damaged circuitry as well as reintegrating his ruined flesh into it, turning him into a full on Techno-Organic being. I think the reason people enjoy cyborg as a character is because of his constant battle with his humanity. The battle with his tech is a big one he is constantly trying to stay human even though he is machine he not will not become full blown tech he is a leader a team player an a great ally to have on your side. Cyborg is an awesome character especially the new 52 interpretation pick up one of the many stories with him in it maybe you will get to see how the battle between man and machine play out I hope victor the Man wins every time.

legends of tommorrow Review

So tonight was the  big premiere of The CW's newest show Legends of Tomorrow.  For most of you that don't know or remember There had been a flash/Arrow crossover event that put both Team  Green Arrow and Team Flash against the immortal psychopath  known as Vandal Savage.

The Basic Premise of this new story is Rip Hunter a man from the future 2166 to be exact has traveled to 2016 to recruit a Team of potential misfits who he claims are Legends.
I call them a team of Misfits because you have two criminals a Resurrected assassin  two halves of a nuclear powered hero as well as two reincarnated demi-gods  and  who have lived an died 206 times damn  and another quirky dead scientist  who want to saves.

I really did enjoyed the show and the concept is pretty cool. The team interactions are funny as all hell the fight scenes where pretty cool  I like how they used team Arrow to inspire both Ray Palmer and Sarah Lance to go for the mission.

But in closing I enjoyed the show I'm looking forward to the next episode and to see where this goes. Hopefully they can take on Savage an survive and make their Own legends and Forge Their own Destiny.  I do recommend This show to any superhero Fan or Fans of Arrow and The Flash.
